Introduction to the Balochistan Commission on the Status of Women (BCSW)

The Balochistan Commission on the Status of Women (BCSW) is an autonomous statutory body established with the mission to protect, promote, and advocate for the rights of women in Balochistan. The Commission serves as a vital platform for ensuring gender equality, addressing issues of discrimination, and enhancing the socio-economic and political status of women throughout the province.

BCSW plays a central role in shaping policies, reforming laws, and monitoring their implementation to safeguard women’s rights. The Commission actively collaborates with government bodies, civil society organizations, and international agencies to initiate programs that focus on key areas such as gender-based violence, economic empowerment, education, healthcare, and leadership development for women.

In addition to advocacy and policy work, the BCSW provides a range of services, including legal aid, helplines for victims of violence, and safe spaces for those in need of protection. By raising awareness and creating opportunities, the Commission strives to build a society where women can live with dignity, equality, and freedom.
